Gourmet Delight Franschhoek
This tour is one of my personal favourites: the Gourmet Delight Franschhoek. Founded in 1688 by French Huguenots, Franschhoek is known for its strong winemaking heritage and for having some of the top Restaurants in the country.
We arrive at Grande Provence for a wine + food pairing, followed by a cellar tour (except in harvest season). The food & wine pairing brings together the expertise of 2 award winning chefs and offers new and inspiring insights into how to match food with wine.
Thereafter you hop on a wine bus and enjoy the scenery while driving through enchanting wine valleys.
Your guide picks you up an hour later and takes you to Bread & Wine Vineyard Restaurant or a similar excellent Restaurant ( subject to availability) for an a la carte lunch at your own expense.
The desert will be taking at a la Motte, offering a very unique experience, a winelands high tea:
You have a choice of the finest selection of teas of the world and coffee drinkers can enjoy a cup of la Motte’s house blend. The confectionery is inspired by Cape Winelands traditions and you can expect an enticing offering of delicate trout-filled pancakes, chocolate truffles in traditional flavours such as milk tart, charming macaroons and an assortment of delectable cakes.
Pick up from your hotel at 9am.
