Hermanus Whale Tour
Hermanus, just 1.5 hours from Cape Town, is THE destination for whale watching! Famous for their majestic nature and gargantuan size, the Southern Right Whale has always been a fascination for many. Their playful nature and rarity have made them a famous addition to the Cape Whale Coast between July and November. They keep coming back each year to mate or to give birth. It’s quite a spectacular sight when those giants rise out of the water for breaching or rolling around playfully with each other.
These Whales can be seen from the coastal rocks and with some luck they come right to the shores. For a more exciting encounter, book a whale watching boat trip as the boats have permission to get close to 50m of the whales!
